Unpack Contest Poster

“Unpack” is about feeling confident enough to be who you are. It’s about feeling totally chill and owning who you are, being spontaneous and real; it’s about finding your groove and your true vibe.

Dozens of posters scattered on the floor.

POV

Through these three years, we learned that graphic design is chaotic. It’s not just about the selected projects; it’s also about the no's and the maybes in every project. It’s about the money that went through all the wrong printed copies, about the cries and the laughs. Everything changes so much during these three years, but we found our style as artists and as designers, and we learned how to leave our mark.

Mandate

The objective was to create a poster to announce the 2024 edition of our Graphic Design vernissage. The poster should reflect what the three-year program means to us and what makes our cohort special.

Brief

Our approach for this poster is inspired by Bauhaus and postmodernism, with a close-to-the-margins typography, minimalism, and a lot of white space. We wanted to create movement and dynamics with abstract rounded shapes that mimic fingerprints. We used bold type to make the look bold, intense, and chaotic.
